Residential
Designing is storytelling in this renovation of a TriBeCa apartment for House Beautiful 's 2012 Designer Visions. For this designer showhouse, David Rockwell converted a loft into an eclectic space that reflects and embraces House Beautiful’s singular style.
The design reveals insights into the lives of a fabricated husband and wife, a film curator and a fashion designer, with each piece carefully chosen to give the space a sense of history and the appearance that the details of the apartment came together over time. Jim Thompson’s droplet fabric panels, handmade wallcoverings from Maya Romanoff, and an antique Moroccan rug from Nazmiyal in the hallway are a few highlights from this casual and contemporary residence.
